Game at the Cubs was postponed today but now Dempster and Danks will face off tomarrow. Should be a good matchup.

Not a bad game so far. Danks pitched very well and the Sox are going in to the bottom of the ninth with a 4-1 lead. Time for Jenks to try and pick up save 15.

That was an awesome game, Becks had such a rough day down at 3rd though. Danks was brilliant, BA had a great catch in CF, and Podsednik had a sick bunt hit. Danks almost had a fake bunt and then swing base hit up the middle until whatever scrub the Cubs had pitching made a nice play.

That was a frustrating loss. 4 unearned runs in the eighth inning... The good news is though that the Sox did play a good 7 1/2 innings and Floyd pitched a good game. You will lose games like that but it still was a decently played game...I would rather it be close like this than a blowout. We will see the Cubs again soon and I am looking forward to it.

Sheesh...one bad game and everyone is calling for Linebrinks' head.
Well, we split the series, now lets go sweep them later this month. |

Laying fastballs right down the plate is clearly not his fault.
Gotcha. |

Gotcha. He never said it wasn't his fault but it was just one game. Linebrink still is a good pitcher and they all will give up runs. It is not like it was against the Tigers or Twins, of course we want to beat our crosstown rivals but it still is not as important as a division game. The good news is that the Sox are still only 2 back of Minny and 3.5 games behind Detroit(3 if they lose or 4 if they win). |

PK, stop making excuses for LineTURD.
His era may be in the 2's, but he hasn't pitched like someone with an era that low. Ozzie's stupid ass should've went with Thornton to start the 8th. |

Contreras takes the hill today against the Reds. Hopefully, Contreras can pitch another 8 inning shutout but I would be good with a quality start. Castro will be behind the plate today, Castro has caught each of Contreras' starts since Conteras' return to the majors. Arroyo will pitch for the Reds, Arroyo comes in with a 7-5 record and a 5.36 ERA. Arroyo has allowed 5+ earned runs in 2 of his past 3 starts but has only allowed 1 earned run in each of his last 3 home starts. Should be a good game.

Lets go kick some Reds ass! Already up 2-0 on a Getz 2 run HR, the first of his career. As I post this, Jayson Nix's brother, Laynce, just doubled.

5-0 Reds.[/quote] Glad the real Sox fans stayed and watched the game. 5-5 tie in the bottom of the 5th, a huuuuge Beckham 3 run HR, his first of his career, made it 5-3. Then AJ and Pods had solo HR's. |

If you look at this team for what it is, which is a team that's still in transition and breaking in young players, it's a lot easier to watch them.

The team brought golf clubs to the game today. Anderson also did his best DeWayne Wise impersonation.
