Whats happenin?

Hey guys, I came from CTS, I don't know if this is our new home or not and I don't know if this is even a merge or not. Anyway, place looks alright. I do have a few questions though.

Whose the admins?
Am I getting my staff position back?

Anyways my teams are the Oklahoma City Thunder, Baltimore Ravens, Baylor Bears for NCAAB, Texas Longhorns for NCAAF and the Cleveland Indians.

I am the admin and I bought CTS and merged it here at SlyMF.

Staff positions will be back as soon as we get a handle on who is here and who still wants to help in a positive manner.

Thanks man, IMO you can't beat CTS but this place looks good.

He is adding a chatbox and a new layout I believe I also came from CTS but I dont think Im going back now.

Chatbox will only take activity away from the forum itself, not a good idea.

You can't go back to CTS, I thought this place bought CTS??

Yes I purchased CTS and merge all content and users here.

Well whats with the Chatbox? In all honesty man, it'll just take posting away.

I see many sites that are successful that have chatboxes

Chat box dont work, i have been with many sites with them, always die out.

We have to do what is best for the community as a whole so if some members are opposed then we really need to think about it.

Personally my experieces with chatboxes on forums is that eveyone thinks it is cool at first but as time goes on people forget and it only gets active by a few members late at night. The one downside is that some flash based chatboxes can be at risk for SQL injection which can lead to a security risk. The reason this happens is because alot of the chatboxes out there are created and given away for free so the creator does not really focus on the security side of things. That is all I have to say about that.

So are we adding it or not? Look at VSN,and DSS there both doing well with the chatbox

We are discussing it as a community and we will figure out what works as a whole for everyone.

Personally I don't think a chatbox is a good idea as said above we want members posting on the forums, not in a box. Will help Slymf to grow then :)
