What is the most exciting thing in Baseball?

I love baseball. I love to watch it and used to love to play it before I got too out of shape. My wife asks me what is so great about the game. I do not have a straight up answer for her because it is a large combination of things. I guess that baseball is for some people what the game of golf is to me. I don't understand it all that well and so I do not know what to watch for, so it all just looks like a guy hitting a ball.


My fav. thing to see in a baseball game? Personally for me it is just rooting for my Detroit Tigers. I love to watch a no-hitter more than anything or better yet a perfect game (I will also settle for an "almost" perfect game..still mad about that one).

I would not say I watch for a pitching showdown either though, because I would rather see our line-up hit 15+ than to see a 10k+ performance from a pitcher.

So what is your favorite thing to see during a baseball game? Is it the home run? A miraculous catch made by the outfielder? The duel between a pitcher and the hitter? Or do you just watch because you want "your team" to win?

Just a good game and a big crowd. I have been to Pirates games where 9,000 people are there. A mixture of good pitching, home runs, steals, errors, ejections, etc. I also like seeing teams and players I have never seen before.

I just like to see good plays like a solid base hit or a nice catch. Nobody likes watching errors.
