Wayne Rooney Loses Appeal of Ban

Wayne Rooney has lost his appeal on being banned for 2 games after swearing on TV when he scored his hat trick for Manchester United. Rooney stated after that "I am not the first player to have sworn on TV and I won't be the last."

Rooney took full responsibility for the words he let go into the camera after his third goal, but was appealing on the basis that his punishment was just too harsh. The suspension doesn't allow Wayne to play with Manchester United in their FA Cup semifinals on April 16th.

He believes he was over punished due to the fact that many other athletes swear on camera, but he was one of the only to apologize immediately after. The others did not get punished but he did, and therefore it is unfair.

I do believe that Wayne Rooney's ban was a bit too strict, but at least if Manchester United makes it to the FA Cup Finals he will be able to play.
