I have little to no knowledge on this situation, but I think that we should bring out troops home. We've been over there since 2001, and have done a lot for them. I think it's time we tried to let them govern themselves.

I agree with your point. When Bush entered, I was all for it. I wanted the world to know that the US was not going to stand for fear-mongers. But, I have read into the details. This isn't what was intended. Innocent people dying, killing in the name of democracy, when all it was, was a outlandish statement by Bush, which led innocent soldiers being killed. get them out now. the Iraqi people can govern themselves. lets stop our guys being killed.

Yep. From what I know, we've stopped a lot of terrorism, though it is still going on. Only they have the power to stop it now, I think. We can't baby them anymore.

The problem with leaving is what Bush was planning could collapse due to a terrorist takeover. I dunno if we should leave or not. I'd like to see them leave and get them back to their families, but I'd hate for America to get the blame of Iraq falling.

Once the job is done, and ONLY when the job is done, you can start to move some troops home, but some need to go into Afghanistan. Iraq is looking really great, and I think we're almost done there. Afghanistan really needs some attention, however.

Our military presence in Iraq is only fueling the growth of violent jihad and anti-western sentiment. The sooner we withdraw, the easier diplomacy will be with Islamic nations down the road.

It is over, these people need to go back to their families. The problem with these Middle Eastern countries is they will never change completely. There will be another insane person that overtakes the country and then it will be back to the same crap again.

Always love to debate politics. So here it goes. We cannot leave until we've finished the job, because it's a threat to our national security, which is something that George Bush undeniably did well, protect us. We cannot leave, especially in Afghanistan where even Barack Obama thinks we need to stay, and even add troops. However, we should not leave Iraq either.

This argument is always funny to me. Does this mean that if the US is not a victim of a terrorist attack during Obama's term he has "undeniably protected us well"?

I wholeheartedly agree with you. They have seen enough war and bloodshed. Let democracy take roots in Iraq now.
