Vicon Revue: Wearable Lifeblogging Camera
The Vicon Revue is essentially a 3 ounce camera that continually takes snapshots during a day, creating pictures of memories for you the entire time. The camera is worn around your neck and has built in sensors for light, wind, and other environmental changes for it to sense when to take new pictures. It comes in handy for remembering details of a day you had once forgotten or to make sure you got every moment of a very special occasion. The Revue also has two manual control buttons, one for privacy which stops the camera from taking pictures for two minutes, and the other is a manual shot taker. Although the privacy one does work well, there has been some reported difficulties with the manual picture taking button. The only real problems with the Vicon Revue are the low-res and blurriness of each photo, the impossibility of capturing a photo in the dark, and the inability to capture only head movements. With all of these great features, and only small issues in comparison to it's obvious benefits I'd say it is a great idea and improvement for the technology world, although not for the high price of $730. $730?! ouch..
the gopro has a time lapse option and that would do the same photo wise for a lot less money. that would be a cool thing to try on one of my trips... =) |
