Top 3 left off All-Star ballot
Every year the All-Star ballots are a little messed up. This year is no different. Here are my Top 3 guys that missed the ballot:
1) Brennan Boesch, OF, Detroit Tigers - Boesch is on a hot streak that puts his start last year to shame. He has a great arm and plays the outfield well. He has hit .348 average, .920 OPS through 21 games. Very impressive for a 2nd year player. Also, when he bats in the 3 or 5 spot Cabrera is so much more productive. Boesch deserves a spot on the All-Star team. ![]() 2) Jonathan Herrara, 2B, Colorado Rockies - After stealing the starting second-base job from Jose Lopez by batting .310 with an .875 OPS through 17 games. I would think that Herrara's #s along with Colorado's winning ways make him an excellent write-in. ![]() 3) Jed Lowrie, SS, Boston Red Sox - jed Lowrie has been playing some ball in Boston and has been a bright spot for a city without much hope so far in 2011. Lowrie unseated Marco Scutaro from the starting shortstop duties by batting .431 with three homers, 12 RBIs and a 1.141 OPS through 16 games. If his team was winning more it would make a better case. ![]() Do you have anyone that you will proudly write in? Here is where you can vote. |

Re: Top 3 left off All-Star ballot
All these guys definitely could by wild-cards for the team. Herarra is playing in a great line-up and middle of the infield this year with Tulowitzki.
