Tiger Woods steady in first round at the Masters

Tiger Woods carded a one under-par 71 on thrusday putting him in a seven-way tie, and 6 behind leaders Rory McIlroy and Alvaro Quiros (-7). Some people were able to go low day one on Augusta National even though it is very fast anf unforgiving. It isn't that easy to get away with many mistakes at Augusat and those close behind will be in the mix.

Tiger had three birdies and two bogeys on the day with no serious problems. He looks focused and is playing safe when he needs to, getting 13 pars in the first round. Woods needs to keep his tee-shots in the fairway in order to have a chance at limiting the bogeys and turning them into birdies.

With a lot of people close around par,there could be a lot of people with a shot to win this on Sunday. Tiger (-1) will should definetly be in the hunt supplying plenty of drama for the viewers.
