Southern States scare
After a furious storm that kicked up tornadoes, flash floods and hail that actually was about the size of softballs it’s safe to say it unfortunately took 35 lives with it which would give the Southern states a scare.
The horrific storms began in Oklahoma just days ago, and would smash its way across Southern states such as Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. Unfortunately in Arkansas and Mississippi the storms did take seven lives. In North Carolina, there were ten confirmed deaths in Bertie County. Three as of yet were confirmed in Virginia, and the authorities even said that the toll might even be higher as the search continues for bodies thanks to this unfortunately natural disaster! In North Carolina there was 62 tornadoes spotted and reported which is the most since March of 1984, when there was 22 twisters reported in the Carolinas that killed 57 people. A Iraq veteran back from duties said that from being in Iraq that he has not even seen anything that bad in Iraq compared to the storms that came rampaging through the southern states. It’s an unfortunate event for people of the South to go through, turns out at a time there was 250,000 residents in North Carolina that were without power and could possibly have to wait till Monday to get it situated back. This is something I would not even like to go through! My prayers and thoughts go out to the families and victims of this horrible disaster. I hope this is the end of it, but that isn’t likely since the spring just began. Stay safe people! |
