Some don't agree with the expansion
Bud Selig talked about an expansion when it comes to the postseason in the MLB, and there are a few athletes that do not agree with this decision.
Tim Lincecum of the defending champion San Francisco Giants is not a fan of this decision at all! Tim's words were It doesn't seem very fair, and personally, I don't know where his head is at". And yes, I can see where Tim is coming from if they were to go to a one-game series but I'm hoping the chances of that are not likely! What would the point of a team working their tail off all year to make the post season, only to lose the one-game series because their ace had a off day. It would make no sense! Mark Teixera was another who didn't agree with the expansion. Tex's argument was that the Yankees work their butt off all year round in the toughest division, and to let another team in could eliminate all of that hard work done in their division. If there is a five game series for all series, even the two teams added I would be all for it! Although, if it would only be a one-game series it would simply be a waste of time for everyone! Although the thought of it would be to bring a higher attendance of fans, and to keep the tickets selling. |
