Should Jose Aldo be in the Top 3 in the UFC?

Jose Aldo has a 17-1 record and is the current UFC Featherweight Champ. He is ranked #1 featherweight in the world and is #3 fighter in the world. My question is does he deserve it?

The Record - The only loss Aldo has taken in his career is to Luciano Azevedo. The loss was by submission in the 2nd.The loss was not only Aldo's first as a professional, but the only defeat he has suffered in his career so far. Pretty damn good.

He has yet to fight in the UFC and only has his belt because of the merger with World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC). His first fight did not happen on UFC 125, but he is scheduled to fight Mark Hominick in UFC 129. Hominick has 20 wins and 8 losses, but does have some KO power.

What do you think about it. Is Jose Aldo Top 3?
