Dale Earnhardt, Jr. drove his dad's famed #3 Wrangler Chevrolet at Daytona tonight for the Nationwide race, and took it home to Victory Lane. Is there a prettier sight than watching the #3 owned by Richard Childress, with the paint scheme that Sr. had just before the Goodwrench days, and have it in Victory Lane with an Earnhardt behind the wheel?

I can't say that I'm old enough to witness Dale Sr. in the Wrangler colors full-time, but I do remember one year where he drove it in the All-Star race.

Jr. only drove the #3 tonight to honor his dad making the Hall of Fame. Both he and Childress have acknowledged this is the last time they will pull the number out. What could be more fitting than to see the last race from the #3 end up with it Victory Lane?
