Rory McIlroy struggling on the final day
In the final day of the Master’s at Augusta, the leader after day two Rory McIlroy had the lead and today he is struggling early!
Maybe it’s the fact that it is the final day of the Master’s at Augustus and McIlroy is feeling the heat of the pressure. He started his morning off cold going with a bogey and par, which would eliminate the four shot lead he had to start the day. Tiger Woods has caught up and tied McIlroy and Schwartzel for first place at ten under. Tiger for the day is shooting at minus-five right now which is great considering where he was starting from. McIlroy did have to bust out of a possible dangerous situation. Rory would find the bunker on number two and on his next shot he couldn’t clear the lip. His next shot he would hit it into the bunker, and after that would hit a terrific up-and-down for par on hole two. This is a big spot for McIlroy to be, considering he is only twenty-one years old. If he were to win the Master’s at Augustus today he would be the second youngest champion, Tiger Woods was eight months younger than Rory is today. At Augustus, the past nineteen of twenty winners would come from the final Sundays play. This game is open for all golfers near the top of the leaderboard! I would love to see Rory win this, he deserves it! Even though he is having a rough day thus far I am hoping he has a better back nine. |
