Redskins trying to trade up

It is clear that there is a quarterback situation in Washington that are in need of a quarterback, which is why the Washington Redskins are trying to trade up to enhance that position!

The Washington Redskins are in a sticky situation, just last year the Redskins landed quarterback Donovan McNabb. The same year that they would sign McNabb an extension in hopes that he would have a good year! But it turned out as McNabb late in the season wouldn't even be the starter as Mike Shanahan decided to put Rex Grossman in as their starter. It's like the Philadelphia scenario all over again for McNabb, but it was a necessary move. Last year McNabb threw for 3,377 yards with only 14 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

With that being noted, the Washington Redskins are desperately trying to trade up in the upcoming draft to either get Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert. Although it seems unlikely they will get Newton since Carolina has been eyeing him as their number one overall draft choice for the draft this year. Looks like he'll be wearing the baby-blue after all!
