Predators take the Ducks in overtime
The Nashville Predators have been giving the Anaheim Ducks many challenges in this series, and they defeated the Ducks last night in overtime with a 4-3 victory.
Shea Weber actually saved the Predators in this game, scoring a slapshot with 35.3 seconds left in the game, and it must of been a great feeling for the Captain! This is when all of the momentum would shift, and it wouldn't feel good for the Ducks on their home ice. The Nashville Predators have never even made it this far in a playoffs, so to make it this far is an amazing feeling to be one step closer as Jordin Tootoo would say. Pekka Rinne has played exceptionally well for the Predators in this series, and in this game he would make 23 saves and not facing too many shots! On the other end, Ray Emery has been a hit or miss when it comes to the way he is going to play. Unfortunately he is no Jonas Hiller for the Ducks, and that has come to hurt the Anaheim Ducks! The lack of the Ducks stars Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and Teemu Selanne came to haunt them in the end! This is something that needs to be done, teammates need to help one another to get the guys open who everyone knows has the chance to score. Bobby Ryans goal early in the third period was a pure jaw dropper, the first deke would undress Legwands stick from him and he would make another deke to get by him once more and would backhand the puck upstairs past Rinne. Nashville can close out the series in Nashville at game 6 on Sunday when the Ducks will come out with their all! |
