Portal 2 Will be the Ultimate Game

There are several reasons why Portal 2 will be the ultimate game. For one, the first game was fantastic. It offered a completely new element of gameplay for first person shooter type games. It provoked the player to think in totally new ways about how to navigate levels and offered nearly unlimited options for puzzle solving. Portal also offered a uniquely sarcastic and comical commentary throughout the game via the antagonist, GlaDOS. The voice acting and writing for the game were phenomenal and what you would expect from Valve.

With the awesomeness of Portal in mind and considering how awesome Valve sequels have been in the past (Half Life 2), I can only assume that Portal 2 will be a mind blowing experience and game of the year.



And while Portal 2 is not yet released (Release date set for April 19, 2011), there are quite a few confirmed and rumored details floating around forums and the official portal website. One of the newest features that everyone should be excited about is co-op gameplay. With two players and two portal guns, the gameplay will again be revolutionized. Valve is also introducing several new features of puzzle solving. These include globs of bouncy residue, lasers, and large transportation tubes. So if you haven’t played the first Portal, I highly suggest you do so. Go buy it, steal it, pirate it. Do whatever you need to do to play the game. And for those of you who have played Portal, look forward to Portal 2 next week!

I loved Portal.

There is a commercial on TV for Portal 2. Makes me want to break out the first Portal game.

Has anybody played Portal 2 yet?

I've been playing it the past couple games and I am about halfway through it. I haven't dealt with all of the new elements yet, but the puzzles are amazing. They are hard without feeling overly difficult, and what really makes the game is the characters, as the acting is superb.

Good to hear that it as good as it is supposed to be. Sounds dificult though. Good luck with it. I want to get soon!
