My PS3 has just died :(

You may have noticed I mentioned this in a few posts but my Playstation 3 has just died after lasting for nearly 3 years. This Christmas would have been three years.

Now it's got the yellow light of death, which is the ps3's version of the Xbox 360's red ring of death. The name explains it all, but search on YouTube if you want to see what it looks like.

Anyway, I think it's stupid that now Sony want £130 ($200) from me to replace the ps3 with the exact same model. I spent £400 ($618) on my ps3 nearly years ago and now Sony want more money off me! I think it's a scam, they're meant to break after a while so they get more money from me. My mates replacement model actually broke, so i'm not paying £130 for one.

I can pay £250 ($386) for a new 250GB PS3 Slim, but I feel sick that Sony are getting all this money from me when I just don't have it!

Mate, you need to look around your surroundings and see who has a PS3 and strike a deal with him, learn how to negotiate and you'll get the things you want in life, just remember everyone has their price! (That's the Slavic way of thinking)

You mean from Sony? I tried to get the price down but they said the £130 was a standard charge. If your on about getting a new ps3, I'll shop around for the cheapest prices.

Man **** Sony, don't buy it form them by it from your mate or from a stranger just play it for at least and hour if it everything works good, then strike a deal with the twat and take the PS3.

It's ridiculous that SONY wants you to pay more for a defective product.

Well it was 3 years old so not defective but still it should last longer than that!

Anyway, I've bought a 160GB brand new PS3 Slim so all sorted now.
