It is a holiday weekend so that could explain the lack of activity. But, I agree. At the very least, the people who signed up need to actually post around showing they are interested in making this into something. Lots of activity would spark interest in others as joining a stable league is more enticing than building one up from the ground.

Hey listen. Cool down and relax. It is a holiday weekend. Giants and me are trying hard. I am on here 24/7 trying to get this thing active. I am trying to get more people for the league from other sites. But dont come give me crap. If I have to start simming and have CPU trades and everything now I will to get this place going. I know people wont join till they see a stable league. But you guys just need to relax. Im busy working with my rl and trying to run 2 leagues(I can handle it). Please dont come and give crap about the league. If you hate it leave. If I have to I will start simming with 15 GM's this week. I am one of the hardest working Commishes you will ever see. We can get active. People just need to relax and trust me. Trade and do stuff. I am confident of getting to 20 GMs this soon this week. And then we can sim. I might just open FA tomorrow or TUE. But if you dont like what I am saying the leave. But if you guys want to trust me and stay, then stay and we will have a blast. Yall see what I did and how hard of a worker I am in the NCAA Sim. I am putting the same amount of effort into this one. You see how much people have fun. This one can be just like it. Even if I have to mix things up a bit. So guys, just RELAX.

Interest in basketball here > interest in baseball. Not to mention that a lot of people don't like baseball sims because they have to use a game instead of just going to the website. If you think you can get this thing active, I'm down, but unless you're getting people from other websites, it's just not giong to happen.

I can use OOTP8. Only prob is it is in 2008 and I have no clue how to setup a site. I am all for it. I just would need some help getting that up and transfer over to me. I am open to stuff. But we need to get this place going. If it is Mogul or OOTP idc. As long as it goes right and long.

I'm not trying to give you crap. I'll stay active as long as the league stays up. And my comment wasn't directed at you, more so at the people who sign up and then vanish.

Yeah, I hear you there. I figured you weren't complaining about the management. It's just members that sign up for every single league and then never post. There are quite a few active posters on this site that do that. Those people are the problem. But, like my comments directed towards the football league, this is an overwhelmingly basketball dominant sports forum. There are some advantages and disadvantages to this. But, a huge difference between this league and the football league is the admins. The admins here are hard-working, active, and have a plan. The admin in the football league is clueless, planless, and overall just not committed at all. I have a lot of hope for this league, I believe it will turn out as good as it can, 20 or so active GM's, and it will be fun.

Hey man I wasnt going off on you. I was mad about B-line's post. But like I said even if this is 20 GM league I will make it work. And steel is right, this is more of a basketball domain. I mean look at the NCAA and NBA sim. The look at the NFL and the last MLB. But yeah sorry for making it look like I was bombing you.

And the people that join either need to join and stay active or not just join and we find out you werent even interested all along. And waisiting our time. That is something that always kills leagues.

1. Back when RST was still up, we had a similar issue with a MLB Sim League. League filled quickly, then a lot of people never kept going once the season kicked off. THere were probably 12-15 active GMs and among those 12-15, we were all very competitive and had a ton of fun. This league can succeed as long as we get 2/3 of it filled actively.

2. I've been away all weekend, out of state working for my uncle's catering company. Unfortuantely I didn't have a chance to hit the computer until now and am only on briefly, so sorry if I have fallen behind on a few things. Suddenly I get a PM from John, whose an admin, asking me what the staff can do to help the league. If guys like Uptown have an issue with him, thats fine by me but atleast give the guy a chance. He's putting his own time into asking me how he can help the site. I told him a few minutes ago that I was looking into the idea of advertising this on Affiliates' sites with the owners' consent on those forums, so lets see if ownership can help move the wheels on that idea.

3. Uptown, I can see you obviously have an issue with John, but I'll give you a week or a week and a half to change ur mind. You still have your team and I hope you decide to stay here. Take 2 or 3 days to think about it.

MY issue with him involves the sim leauge. I was running one for him, granted it was about halfway full, it was running fine IMO. He constantly hounded me to recruit member to his site and continued to fuss about it. Daily. I have no respect for that man and have a feeling he is gonna tank this site and try to convince everyone to move to his. Just my opinion though.

If Uptown is truly gone, don't put through the trade I made for Haren. I want the next D-Backs GM to have him in case they want to try and win and not rebuild.

Like I said, I'll give him a few days to think about it. If he does leave I'll reverse the trade.

Eh, no worries man. I was out of town for 3 days too.

New file is up with created prospects and trades in it. Only trade not through is the Haren trade. Everything else is there. We are getting a simming schedule together now.

I will most likley open FA too today. I will keep everyone posted.

Guys I am going to make sim 1 on Tuesday. We need to get this rolling. I hope we can get all lineups in. It will be out 9PM EST on Tuesday night.

Not sure where NWU has been. I held off on doing the lineups and free agents because he said on here he would do the 1st sim, so typically whoever is doing the sim does the transactions and all that. I'll work this afternoon on the free agency, get the lineups done and the sim will be Tomorrow afternoon, to give time to teams who need the latest file with Free Agents on it to be able to make their lineup.
