MLB has lent the Rangers more than $20 million

From the judge's decision today: MLB has lent the Rangers more than $20 million -- and sources in baseball say the figure is closer to $30m.

why wont they do this for the pirates!!! Its been 18 loooooong years of losing. the rangers re at least a decent team. Even if the pirates did get this kind of money lent to them theyd probably still find a way to lose

They didn't lend them money for talent reasons. The Rangers have been for sale for a very long time and it got to where the sale wasn't completely done and it got complicated to who was supposed to be funding the team.
