Miller does it again
When it came to game four of the Buffalo Sabres against the Philadelphia Flyers series, Ryan Miller would do it again!
Goaltender Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres would have yet another magnificent match up against the Philadelphia Flyers. This wouldn't be Millers only shut out of the series either, he also had one other shut out against the Flyers in game one of the series. Ryan Miller stopped a total of 35 shots in help to Buffalo's victory in game four. This doesn't mean that Philadelphia didn't have their share of opportunities, because they most certainly did! Briere had a one-on-one opportunity with Miller, but Miller would rob Danny with his glove as Danny Briere would stay back to avoid Millers great poke check. There was another great opportunity for Mike Richards to get the puck past Miller onto a open left side, but Miller would get the best of that with his stick. Richards would leave the game after a collision and a knee injury, it would definitely be an unfortunate loss for the Flyers to lose Mike Richards. Even though Miller got the shut out victory, it doesn't mean that Boucher didn't do great himself. Brian Boucher stopped 28 shots, but wasn't able to stop the one shot that made it past him by a nice pass from Rob Neidermayer to Jason Pominville that would be able to put it past Boucher. Miller got the first star of the game, and can you guess who got the second star? Yes, Brian Boucher did. This has come to be a great series and Miller will need to do more of this! |
