It looks so unique. I'll definitely be going down there for Mets games when it is done.

It looks sick. I just hope that it attracts more fans to come to the stadium for games....

It looks rather nice. However, why so many seats? Only about 10 percent will be full.

37,000 seats is probably the least amount of seats at any stadium in the MLB. I think even the Marlins will be able to sell out a lot of games there.

I was just kidding. I know it isn't a lot of seats, but they don't have a lot of fans that go to the games now. I was trying to put some sarcasm in.

Just to put this in here since so many people like to bag our attendance the major issues why people don't come is because Landshark (Dolphin Stadium) is a crappy stadium for baseball. With the constant threat for rain there all the time there's always a chance people will be there for an extended rain delay or it'll get postponed so people choose to stay at home and watch it on TV. The new stadiums retractable roof and is a true baseball field so we'll get fans in the seats.

Plus it pretty much guarantees no more firesales. Loria said we'll probably start to head toward being more of a middle of the pack team in terms of overall payroll which will be nice and let us lock up some of our young studs longterm.

Won't there be one more firesale seeing as they are paying so much for the cost of the stadium?

Also it's way up north, too much in a suburban environment for tons of people to come. I hope for the Marlins' sake it works though, too.

Thats part of the reason for the last firesale and why are payroll has stayed so low since. We should actually start increasing the payroll a bit over the next few seasons before we move into the stadium in 2012.

I find it funny that the Marlins already have a sign up in left field advertising to get season tickets for the new ballpark already. Quick, you and 2 other people are competing for the seats behind home plate!

it looks like a really nice stadium. I don't like the Miami Marlins though. The Florida Marlins seems more fit for me.

They need a massive aquarium with an actual marlin in it, that'd be sick...

That would be soooo sick.

But yeah, the stadium looks sick. Hopefully that'll attract more fans to the park.

I think we are actually doing a mechanical Marlin thing that'll jump out after HR but no real Marlins as far as I know lol.

Yea I prefer to stay Florida Marlins but we had to add that in the stadium deal so we can't do anything about it now.

Well we more then likely are gonna have pretty good attendance once we open up the new stadium and not just at the start. They wanted to make sure the fans who come to games now get first selections to get good seats at the new ballpark.

Just looking at the dimensions...the Marlins should go out and get some good pitching now...this is gonna be one hell of a pitcher's park. 340 and 335 down the lines? Jeez.

Loria said the dimension will probably somewhat resemble landshark stadium so yea it's gonna be a pitchers park.

They talked about groundbreaking in tonight's game. They're all pretty excited about it. It's good the see the Marlins organization and all the PR that they are putting out for this is really pro-new Stadium and they really are pushing this ballpark to the fans. Hopefully it works and it fills the seats. I'm glad they are taking an aggressive approach to it.
