Madden 12 Controversy

This years Madden cover which is determined by fans voting in a bracket-style tournament for players to make it on the cover. Madden 12 will feature the first athlete on a cover as voted by the fans, which is down to the final eight.

Madden 12 will also bring in factors like the NFL's emphasis against concussions and new safety rules in the past season. When is their a line with a video game trying to be too realistic. These new rules were not too popular within the public so why out it in their product. It willl be interesting to see how much these changes will affect the real gameplay.

EA Sports made a great PR move using a fan vote to determine the cover of the game. This allowed the fans to become part of the process of the game and have a chance at winning a nice sum of money with it. Not too bad.

Sales will be interesting to see as many people are upset with the included rules in limits in the gameplay. Also with the possible lockout, how much interest will the fans have in the game. Madden may plummet in ratings after being arguably one of the most played video game
