I challenge her to speak for 10 minutes and utter less than 3 sentences that are not a butchered slap in the face to the English language.

She should be more like Obama and pause every 10 seconds before saying the next sentence.

Thank god that statement followed the quote, I was starting to get a little concerned after my 3rd attempt at reading it.

Anyone can utter a coherent thought if you pause for 10 seconds. Two-year-olds do it all the time.

Yeah I'm not sure what your point is here. Are you trying to take a thread I started making fun of Palin's resignation speech and randomly turn it into an Obama-bashing topic? I was kind of hoping the people in this subforum wouldn't be as predictable as the rest of the internet. I might have to slowly walk away disappointed though.

Hopefully she sticks with one baseball team.

Nah not really. That's just the one that I picked and decided to post because I liked it. How about this one:

I could also pick from the farewell letter she wrote on Alaska's government website that literally looked like a Myspace blog written by a 17-year old. She does it all the time. I just think that particular sentence, especially standing on its own, is hilariously bad.

I posted this to test the waters to see what I'd get if I started a serious thread. I think I know what I wanted to know though. I won't get any actual informed discussion, just some ideological rants and cognitive dissonance. I was kind of hoping the thread wouldn't do what it did almost immediately, but I figured it would based off the other threads I've browsed here. Oh well. Swing and a miss.



edit: and yes I know I sound like a complete pompous dick right now. I'm really jaded by most people and I don't have that much patience so now I just look for signs so I know whether or not I want to bother.

Im not denying the fact that she made a mistake, so I see nothing to debate here. I think its said you would judge someone on a mistake in a speech.
