Lannan optioned to Double-A Harrisburg

WASHINGTON -- Left-hander John Lannan has been optioned to Double-A Harrisburg, the Nationals announced Monday. Right-handed reliever Joel Peralta was promoted from Triple-A Syracuse to take Lannan's roster spot, and is able to pitch Monday if needed.
Lannan, the Nationals' Opening Day starter, has struggled particularly of late. He is 2-5 with a 5.76 ERA this season, but has a 10.38 ERA in his past three starts. In Sunday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox, Lannan allowed five runs on 11 hits in four-plus innings.
