Jose reyes gets robbed, but Mets get the win

The Mets (11-13) get their 6th win in a row after beating Washington (10-13) 6-3 after coming back with a 4 run 9th inning.

In the 6th inning Jose Reyes made a stand up double into a triple. He went around the bases about as fast as anyone can, and then he safely slid into third base. The worst part about the play was the Ump called him out. After that amazing effort the Ump got the call wrong. It kind of brought me back to Gallaraga / Jim Joyce game last year, but not nearly as meaningful. It was just the type of play you wanna shake the LCD screen hoping that the umpire gets whiplash.

So then it made it that much better when the very next batter, Daniel Murphy, hits a homerun. I personally didn't have a dog in that fight, but it was nice to see they got one that was owed to them. On the other hand it should have been two crossing the plate instead of a solo shot.

Then the Washington Nationals reclaimed the lead. Then Daniel Murphy struck again. Murphy's two-run double capped a four-run ninth-inning rally that gave the Mets a big comeback win.
