Don't see Germany losing this. 2-0 possibly, but Australia has the capability to surprise.

Aussie Aussie Aussie. Oi Oi Oi (:

I voted for the Socceroos to win cause.. well I have to. But it'll be a great game, I hope we can upset these guys, just like how we nearly upset Italy in the 06 World Cup (and it was close.)

Once again, Germany should win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a draw or an Australian win.

Lol Germany already leads 2-0... One goal by Lukas Podolski, then another one by Miroslav Klose. It was expected but they're gonna destroy them !!

When Germany leads that early it's impossible to beat them. Their mental is huge, that's why I like them, even if they're led 3-0 and there's only 10 minutes left they can still win the game, they never ever give up. And even if they lead early, which is the case here so, you can be sure that they won't lose their concentration. They're bloothirsty killaz, they want to destroy their opponents !

I honestly expect a 4-0 here.

Australia's defence is atrocious. I thought they'd learn to stop using the offisde trap and starting playing real D by now.

I felt like throwing up through the first half, got better during half time. When I heard the horns again, I threw up. I swear I can't be the only one throwing up from that.:puke:

If serbia can pull off a miracle and at least tie Germany, we can finish 2nd.

Germany is going to be tough to beat for anyone, hopefully they don't get over-confident though, it's not like Australia was that highly touted.

Great game from the Germans, they were just so dominant in the attacking half and ripped the Aussie's defence apart with their through balls and passes over the top of defenders, it looked like there was 4 Xavi's out there for Germany. All their strikers were great, and I was particularly impressed with the youngster Ozil who made some really smart passes.

The Germans have set the table with this performance, no team has come any where near this type of quality so far.

Words cannot explain how pissed off I am. I'm back from a short nap after the game, now my breakdown from what I can remember.

First, why were we playing a 4-5-1 formation, with a midfielder as a striker? Cahill works best when he's at midfield coming towards the box to head in his shot. He cannot work as a sole striker. Harry Kewell, Josh Kennedy, or someone should've been up front.

Second, why did we not give up the offside trap. ALL our goals from what I remember were scored because they exploited our offside traps. Our defence was ugly. Lucas Neill was out of place on these offside traps, placing the German onside. We handed them at least 3 of the goals. It's atrocious to see the Australian defence get abused like this. A Lucas Neill and Craig Moore pairing at defence should not result in this, they're quite good defenders. Especially Neill, he was a huge dissapointment.

I know emotions were running high, but we've lost our best player for the rest of the group stages (quite possibly the WC as Australia has next to no chance of making the 16 now). Tim Cahill was the reason why Australia made the 16 last time. It's quite unfortunate it happened when we were down by so much as well.

In the first 5 mins, if Cahill or Garcia had scored off that corner, the game would have been very different. Australia would have controlled the pace of the game and maybe slow things down. Australia cannot play catchup.

Bottom line: Shameful performance by Australia. This is probably the worst game of football they've ever played. And it's happened on a public holiday as well.

I don't think the world has seen a blitzkrieg like that since the Nazis steamrolled the French in WW2.

(sorry, Oliver)
