Gears of War 3 beta

With the Halo series seemingly being finished, and first person shooters in general seeming to never end, it is about time that Gears of War had a refresher. Epic's third person shooter, which is exclusive to Xbox, is finally opening the doors to its beta publicly on April 25th. This is the first time that Gears of War is having a beta, following suit after the benefits seen by Bungie with Halo and the general increase in the number of betas seen in the gaming industry. With the multitude of problems plaguing Gears 2 online after release, fans have clamored for private servers to reduce lag and prevent host advantage as well as a beta to eliminate many of the evident bugs that have caused problems in the past. I know that I personally am excited to finally get back into a shooter that isn't Call of Duty, especially one made by one of the most experienced shooter companies in Epic now that many of the problems seem to be fixed. If you are wondering about joining the beta, those who purchased the epic edition of Bulletstorm have access on the 18th, and those who preorder at select retailers will have access April 25th- May 15th.

I can't wait to play this game. The campaign is going to be the best in the series and the maps in multi-player will be sick to see. I loved the first a lot so I hope this tops it.
