Flyers dominate game 7
In game 7 of the Buffalo Sabres against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Flyers would offensively own the game. They would end up victorious with a score of 5-2. In the first period just with 19 seconds left in the game Coburn would score a goal. This would just get the fans going, and make them cheer for more. This was a great motivator and crowd booster for the Flyers. In the first period the Flyers got a lot of pucks on Miller, and there was even an instance when the light was on but the puck didn't get into the back of the net or even cross the line. The second period would be all Flyers, as they would score two goals alone in that period. At one point, Mike Grier of the Sabres would try to catch the puck that was shot at net but it actually deflected off of his glove and would trickle between Millers legs and go into the back of the net. In the third period Ville Leino would score 1:59 into the period, and the Sabres would pull Ryan Miller from the net. This was a turn of events! As Miller is a top goalie in the NHL, probably #2 behind Luongo if I do say so myself. With Miller being pulled Leino would tap his stick in appreciation after Miller goes off the ice. Miller wouldn't stick around to watch the rest of the game, but he would come back for the hand shaking. Miller would say that Philadelphia was putting a lot of pressure on the net and we couldn't get any of that going until it was too late. The Flyers are now waiting for their next opponent, it will either be Boston, Pittsburgh or Tampa Bay. All of which have a game 7 Wednesday evening. |
