Florida dismisses Jenkins

Just days after an arrest, Florida Gators very own Janoris Jenkins would be dismissed from the football team in all.

After a meeting with Jenkins Tuesday morning, Florida headcoach Will Muschamp decided that it would be in the best interest of Jenkins to move ahead without him and on to the next stage of his career. Muschamp would mention that Florida is appreciative of Jenkins contributions to the school and that they wish him the best of luck.

Janoris was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor of marijuana possession. They found it since the marijuana cigar was in the console of Jenkins vehicle while sitting in a downtown parking lot.

This wasn't the first time Jenkins had been arrested for marijuana possession, in less than three months Jenkins was arrested for another marijuana possession charge. That was on January 24, and they found him in the bathroom with less than 20 grams of marijuana. Jenkins ended up accepting the plea agreement and would pay the court fees of $316.

Jenkins has a history of finding trouble, back in June of 2009 Jenkins was arrested on being involved in a fight and running from the police.

Jenkins would miss all of spring practice after going under the knife for a torn labrum he suffered at the beginning of last season. Jenkins in the NFL would had been projected as a high first round pick, but he decided to stay in school rather than enter the NFL draft.

Janoris Jenkins has just ruined his career with this second arrest on the same charge, he spells trouble itself! He needs to straighten out because I don't see the chances of him making it in the NFL good even if he can make it there now.
