Robert Horry, the new commisioner of the EBA, knows a little something about winning.
[size=3]Today, marks a new era in Basketball. Today the European Basketball League will officially open. "The NBA was getting too watered down." Commisioner Robert Horry said. "Superstars were forming superteams, the league was too concerned about image, and the physicality of the league was becoming almost non existant. That's were we come in." The European Basketball League will feature a European Division and a Continental Division, and each division will feature 5 teams. "We have several NBA players interested, at our draft party we had quite a nice turnout." Horry said. "I'm definately excited for this."[/size]

Alonzo Mourning will be one of the players coming out of retirement to play.[size=3]
"The NBA is becoming to much of a reality show, man." Forward Bruce Bowen said. "We're here to play physical, to play hard. We ain't here to get paid. We're here to play basketball." Other stars joining Bruce Bowen out of retirement are Penny Hardaway, Alonzo Mourning, Brent Barry and Sam Cassell. But don't get the wrong idea, plenty of young guys will be joining too. Delonte West and Tyson Chandler both declared eligible for the Draft, Thaddeus Young said he will be wearing an EBL Uniform next season, and Luol Deng is trying to work out a buyout in Chicago to return to his hometown London. "It's gonna be great to see who we get to play night in night out." Former Lakers G Shannon Brown said "I'm pumped for this draft. Pumped."[/size][/center]

*The season will consist of 180 games (18 per team)
*Each team will play each other twice; once at home, and once on the road
*The all-star game will take place after each team has played 10 games
*The awards will consist of: MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, All EBL 1st Team, All EBL 2nd Team, EBL Defensive Team
*The postseason will feature 4 teams (2 from each division)
*The Division Finals will feature a Best of 3 series, with the best regular season record having Home Court Advantage
*The EBL Finals will feature a Best of 5 series, with the best post season & regular season combined record having Home Court Advantage
*You will be able to declare for the draft after the All Star Break, more information will be posted then.
*After a player recieves 6 Technical Fouls he will be suspended 1 game. There is no limit for the post season
*The Draft Lottery will happen on the 3rd Game of the Finals, based on Regular Season record
*The Draft will take part the day after the Finals
