Ive always been a huge fan of Clete, the way he is playing now just gives even more reason to get maggs and his massive salary out of here.

Idk, give mags a couple of DH opportunities too. When Thames gets the day off, it wont hurt, mags will come around, look how long it took ortiz to hit a hr, you keep playing them.

Maggs ha shad plenty of oppurtunities it just isnt working anymore, im sure we could actually get something in return, some of the contenders want his bat so some promising prospects could come our way in return

I HATE games like this. Great outings ruined by some cheap stuff. No offense to speak of.

Two EXTREMELY frustrating, and winnable games the past two nights. First of all, I'm glad Zumaya is finally getting checked out. Sad that he had to blow another game for them to make this decision, and I was about as pissed of as can be after he gave up that 3 run homer. Second of all, Verlander deserved to win yesterday, and it's ridiculous how cheap Yankee Stadium is. Complete bullshit how a routine fly ball can fly out. Hopefully Edwin can pick up a win and at least take one, but with the bad run support he gets, I wouldn't be surprised if we got swept.

If we had a ****ing offense that series easily could have been 2 wins our way. The way JV and Jackson pitched (as usual) we cant even score 3 ****ing runs for them to pick up a win. This team needs to make a big move to get a big bat, NOW!

Edwin Jackson has the 7th worst Run Support Average of pitchers with 100+ IP in the whole MLB. Absolutely pathetic.

That game last night was a heartbreaker.

Mariners get TWO hits the entire night and end up winning. The Tigers were hitting the ball but just couldn't get anyone in.

****ing ridiculous how much our offense sucks. We've lost 4 of the last 5 games by the score of 2-1. I want to punch a wall.

Great way to finish an otherwise lame series. Offense finally came together, and it was especially to see Miggy get the bat going. Triple short of a cycle, and if Byrd would have dropped that nice catch, he probably would have had it. Verlander pitched well as usual, and his only bad inning was result of an error.

But like Rod said, now lets spread those 13 runs over the next series against Cleveland.

It was pretty nice to see the offense get going. Our pitching has been so good that our offense hasn't needed to score as many runs. But it was a relief to see our offense pick up Verlander.... even if he didnt get the win, bettetr than a loss

Great game last night, even in a loss. Jackson had a rare bad start, and we fought back and just as easily could have won it. This team is pathetic with guys on base, and even more pathetic on the road, we need to improve that.

Now its time to knock up Tazawa in his first start, hopefully Porcello can give us a good outing again.

Looking forward to the matchup, should be a good one. Will be interesting to see how Tazawa will do.

It will be interesting indeed. Gotta figure both starters will be pretty nervous. Could see some runs early. Porcello's a 20 year old pitching at one of baseball's more hostile environments, and it's Tazawa's starting debut.

Yup, should be a nice game for Sox and Tigers fans to watch, also highly important.

Great start thus far. Were up 3-0 and Tazawa already has thrown 30+ pitches after 1 inning. I knew we could get some early runs off him, and they didn't disappoint me. I could feel the bats heating up last night and its carried into tonight. Lets hope Porcello can hold them off.

Zach Miner to start in place of Armando Galarraga.

Also, Cabrera out of the lineup

Miner won't go more than 4 innings. That's even if he does well, he just threw Monday, so he'll be limited.

The one good thing about Galarraga sitting this start out is that he'll more than likely be able to take Porcello's next start, and than Porcello can come back one day later and take Galarraga's projected start. Basically just switches the two guys in the rotation around, and they still both get plenty of rest.
