Dan Haren to Angels

Just heard it on the mets game.. details to come..

It's a terrible package the Dbacks got for a legitimate ace.

good deal for both teams, especially the Angels. they needed a good starter since losing Adenhart (RIP). they got Kazmir last season, but he wasn't the answer. it seems like the Angels always get a big name near the deadline. a couple years ago they got Teixiera, last year they got Kazmir, and now Haren. with the additions of Callaspo and Haren, they should be much better now, but I doubt they catch Texas.

If I'm not mistaken all minor leaguers, I'm just glad the Phillies didn't get him honestly!

some of y'all obviously are not aware just how bad he's been this season, on some real shit, opponents are batting like .285 against him and his ERA is closer to 5 than it is 4.

Haren has been nothing but an overpaid choad this season, have fun paying that underachieving **** 8 figures a year.

He's getting unlucky, pitches in a hitter's park, and has a terrible team playing behind him.

His BABIP is .350. That's 50 points above his career level. That will normalize and his ERA will start to go down. He still has nearly a 5 K/BB rate and his xFIP is still in the top 10 in baseball. With a change of scenery, I expect big things from Haren.

And the DBacks got a shitty return for him. This deal is awful for Arizona.
