I'm really appreciative and grateful for all that he has done over the years I really am but I really think that he has seen his better days and that this should certainly be his last season, I do hope to see him back as a hitting coach or some kind of coach in the organization.

That being said, I think it's just simply a matter of Chipper's body finally giving out on him. He's still got the batting eye to be a contributor (lots of walks, few strikeouts), but his swing is suffering and he can't stay on the field. |

Wow, Andruw Jones and Chipper Jones are 2 different players, Chipper has been with the team from the start of his career, is a first ballot hall of famer, and I truly believe the Braves don't win all those division titles without him in the middle of the lineup.
And I wasn't saying he couldn't be criticized but the way nestle was saying it didn't seem right to me. |

Bingo, these guys get paid a lot of money, so taking a little criticism shouldn't hut them that bad!

Chipper's seen better days by all means. That being said, it should definitely be his choice as to when he wants to leave.

All that being said, I trust Chipper when his hitting his concerned. If he believes that he's not living up to his standards and wants to retire, then who am I to argue? He's still a fine player who is oh, so close to being done but not quite there yet. At the very least, he's not at the level that Ken Griffey, Jr. was this year.

I used to follow the Braves, idk why any Braves fan would talk down to Chipper, he has been with this team since day 1.
