Celtics win again late against Knicks

The Boston Celtics held on again late against the Knicks winning 96-93 for the 2-0 series lead. Rajon Rondo was the driving force behind the Celtics start, going 6-8 from the field with 14 points, though neither team was able to pull away from eachother.

The Knicks were without Chauncey Billups at the point because of his leg injury, who was replaced by Toney Douglas who got burned by Rondo all night. Douglas picked up a few early fouls which lef to his soft play on defense, which allowed Rajon to get to the basket all night. He finished with a career-playoff high of 30 points along with seven assists, four rebounds. A few jumpers in the fourth were crucial to keep Boston either tied or in the lead.

New York also lost Amare in the second half because he was suffering from back spasms and doing a lot of nothing on the court. Carmelo Anthony took over the game for the Knicks and was driving to the paint, creating shots, and crashing the on the boards all game. Anthony finished with 42 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists in the game.

Falling down 2-0, the Knicks chances are fading with injuries to Billups and Amare. They will not be at full strength in the series and they have not been able to capitalize on the Celtics mistakes.
