Canucks owned the Blackhawks physically
After the end of game one of the Canucks against the Blackhawks game, it was obvious that the Canucks owned the Blackhawks physically.
The Vancouver Canucks would outhit the Chicago Blackhawks 47-21, and not to mention the fact that Vancouver had 20 body checks at the end of the first period. This was a much needed physical game from the Canucks. The past two post seasons the Blackhawks have taken care of business against Vancouver. The ‘Nucks would not allow this come this series, and they proved their point in game one. With the Blackhawks and missing Dustin Byfuglien, Andrew Ladd and Kris Versteeg this leaves a big absence in the physical game. A Canuck would mention that the Blackhawks don’t have as much “meat on them” as they did last year. Byfuglien would be a part of Chicago’s success in the offensive game and physical game. The Canucks fourth line provided much offensive pressure against the Blackhawks, and would help them become victorious against them winning the game 2-0. Afterwards, you would see a winger of Vancouver Tanner Glass humming the Chicago Blackhawks theme song. |
