It's a work. I will guarantee you it's a work. I'm sure all the NXT guys will be "fired" over the next week or so for their attacks on WWE personnel. It's all part of the NXT angle.

I'm hearing from Lordsofpain, the main wrestling news site I go to, is that someone higher up complained about his actions, that choking someone with a tie like he did was too much for a PG show. For **** sake. God dammit. Fire the guy because he sold an assault really well, ok. ****ing a.
Though I hear they want to bring him back once this clears over. Well it better "clear over" before this Monday. LordsofPain.net - More on Why Daniel Bryan Was Released, WWE Hoping to Bring Him Back |

That's ****ing retarded, for choking Justin Roberts with a tie? BAHAHHAHAHAHA, this is wrestling. And of course WWE has to **** up everything up now, finally something good happens and this pathetic company ruins it.
This PG shit has gotten WAY out of hand. |

Detailed Backstage Word on Daniel Bryan's WWE Release
Date Added: June 12, 2010 Story By: Brian Cantor Virtually no wrestlers, reporters or fans would be shocked if Bryan Danielson showed up on RAW this Monday, but as of press time, the going word is that his WWE release Friday was, in fact, legitimate. As was noted early Saturday morning on Prowrestling.com, the actual story going around is that Danielson was fired in response to the scene on Monday’s RAW in which he graphically choked out announcer Justin Roberts with his tie (a scene which was edited from later re-airings of the Invasion angle). While no one is doubting that there were other people responsible for the image–Roberts for making the cartoon-like face, the cameraman for capturing the action and the directors and producers that let the image hit the air–the word, according to F4WOnline.com, is that a very influential entity with a connection to WWE (believed to be a sponsor, affiliate or business partner) complained and that someone had to be the scapegoat. Similarly, there is not necessarily any rationale being given for why Danielson, specifically, got in trouble for a scene that hardly ranks as WWE’s most violent or offensive of all time–it simply came down to the reality that Danielson’s actions were the ones that angered someone in a position of power. There have been loose reports that Danielson broke a “no visual strangulation” rule that was put in place after the Chris Benoit tragedy, but it is not clear that the entity responsible for the complaint was actively thinking about Benoit at the time. Further, because this would not be the first time someone’s in-ring actions have created a connection to Benoit (Shawn Michaels, for instance, used the crippler crossface on television long after the assumed Benoit double-murder-suicide), it is not certain that the connection, alone, could get someone fired in 2010. There has been no indication that WWE officials are holding Danielson in serious contempt; F4WOnline.com sources, in fact, say he was given the impression that the door would be open for a return down the road once everything blows over. Both the WWE executive rank and independent wrestling promotions have, however, been told he will become a free agent once his non-compete expires, so it does not seem that, at least as of press time, WWE anticipates the “cooling off” period being a week or two. Of course, there still exists the small possibility that the release story is an elaborate work or that WWE will quickly rethink its decision and turn the release into a work. But if it is, it would mean that WWE is also working some of its most influential employees in the process, as multiple sources all maintain that some of WWE’s most senior individuals, in addition to the creative team, were assured he was gone. |

I am so mother****ing DONE with this BULLSHIT.
So Edge using a ****ING CHAIR to beat Randy Orton.....THAT's OK???!! Jesus Josephine Christ....the entire ****ing NXT attack was based on violence, shock, and awe. Hey, Vince.....don't ever ****ing tell me again about the size of your grapefruits because you obviously have shriveled up prunes if you bowed to outside influence. You god damn corporate *****. Sorry for the language and reaction, but it's un-****ing-believable how they managed to suck the god damn life out of the hottest WWE angle in years, in a matter of five days. I went from being so jacked for RAW this Monday to not giving a shit about it. **** you, WWE. You just lost a fan who's been with you since the early 80's. And it's not because I'm a big Danile Bryan fan, because I'm not. It's because of the chickenshit, PG, waste of my time, programming. It's because of the what you have become. It's obvious you have now become a company not only geared towards 10 year olds but are being run by corporate suits with fat wallets who wouldn't know a headlock from a wristlock and who think Jon Lovitz is what your audience wants to see. /rant :rant2::rant2: |

why not fire Bryan right then and there? Because they did the same thing on Wednesday or Thursday down in FCW. They attacked Christian and The Miz and tore apart that ring too. And Bryan was there for that. So the people who cried like ****ing loser assholes to Vince obviously can't tell the difference between what's real or scripted.
See that's the thing that's so ****ing maddening about this. That Vince cowered to outside pressure because everything I've read and heard is that they were extremely pleased with how the angle played out and the enormous buzz it was generating. So it was some Wall Street monkey **** in a zoot suit who called Vince and probably threatened to take away some ad time or some shit. |

I doubt they would just let go one of the guys who seems in line for a big push, he would probably get a warning or a slap on the wrist first. Anyways, this isn't a huge loss, Danielson is terribly overrated by the internet and isn't really over yet anyways. Michael Cole ftw.
If they mention his release on Raw tomorrow, it is definitely a work, if they kinda sweep it under the rug then he probably is actually released, this just makes no sense. They kept the NXT invasion super quiet, so they are probably trying to keep things tight to the vest all things related to this angle, which is awesome. |

BTW....I'm back to thinking this a work now, again, because Cena is talking about it a lot on his Twitter account. Saying how he doesn't think Bryan should've been fired and he wants him back....etc. There's just something about the way Cena is tweeting about it makes me think it's a huge swerve.

I think the WWE is setting up a feud between these two. When Cena was on the mat, Bryan yelled at him "There's no way you're better than me". |

I would love to see Danielson and Cena go at it, Cena is an underrated worker and him and Bryan could probably put on a classic if given 20 minutes on a pay per view.... however chances are that Barret gets the crack at Cena this summer.
Also, the more I think about it, this has to be a work.... does anyone remember last year when Punk put the chair on Hardy's head and rammed him into the poll? Punk's attacks on Hardy were more brutal than this, like I said before, it would be so drastic for Bryan to get fired for something he didn't even know about (the Benoit rules). I think we will see him at the end of an upcoming show. I heard before anyways the WWE is trying to explore more realistic storylines, so creating storylines through the internet like this is a definite way to do this. |

It was either Danielson or Jericho driving that limo, IMO.

Here's what wrestlezone is reporting about Cena & Danielson.
According to a source within WWE, another big reason why Bryan Danielson was released from the company is because he spit in the face of John Cena during the NXT beat down angle on Raw. For more, go to this link. EXCLUSIVE: Another Big Reason For Bryan Danielson's Release - Wrestlezone.com |

Cena has openly spoken in opposition to Danielson's release, so it isn't Cena's fault he got fired. I still can't believe he got fired for breaking a rule he didn't know about, absolutely ridiculous.

Even if WWE went back to "rated R" maybe only a few have the ability to change to the "rated R" mindset and no Cena isnt one of them. VinnyMac wanted a more family oriented show, he wont be changing it anytime soon. Most of the WWE staff including wrestlers were in favor of less violence. Unfortunatly wrestling fans have to choose between good wrestlers on PG show or aging wrestlers on a second rate show. WWE is running out of storylines and when they get a good storyline it ends to quickly. Im predicting a HHH saves WWE from NXT storyline.
