Boesch AL ROTM

Detroit Tigers outfielder Brennan Boesch has been voted the June recipient of the Gillette presents American League Rookie of the Month Award. Boesch joins Jason Heyward of the Braves as the only rookies in 2010 to win the award in consecutive months. Prior to this season, it was last accomplished by Milwaukee's Ryan Braun in 2007 (June, July).

Boesch led all American League rookies with eight home runs, 23 RBI, 35 hits and 17 runs scored. The 25- year-old batted .337 (35-for-104) with four doubles and a triple while slugging .625 with a .400 on-base percentage.
