The Biological Clock and Sex
![]() The Hurricane loves science and sex, but more specifically I love it when science and sex can come together as is the case with our biological clock and sex. Now a biological clock may sound like a daunting concept but it’s actually very simple. One example of a biological clock in the human body is the release of melatonin throughout the day. During the day, melatonin levels are low, but at night they increase and we get sleepy. Your level of arousal is affected the same way. The Hassles of Morning Wood ![]() Some awesome science dudes did some long and tedious research and came to the conclusion that men and women are more prone to get horny at different times of the day. For example, men are at their sexual peak after waking up…which may explain why we experience morning wood. Women on the other hand are not ready to have sex at all during the morning. In fact, unlike a man, a woman’s horniness seems to be regulated by outside influences. For example, scientists have noticed that giving a woman shiny or expensive objects increases their readiness to fornicate. Extensive studies also show that the female can be aroused most easily when administered a large amount of ethanol. ![]() So far, the studies and tests of female sex drive have been inconclusive. Even the most brilliant minds have failed to find an algorithm for defining when or why a woman might become horny. |
