Apple MAC computers - Revolution in technology

Apple has always been known for introducing amazing gadgets. Mac computers which are launched by Apple brand shows that this company offers matchless quality in all its products. Apple launched its first Mac or Macintosh in the year of 1984. The Mac systems which are manufactured by Mac currently are designed mainly for education, homes and creative professional markets. Mac is designed in accordance with the vertical integration model. Apple uses its own operating system in all Mac computers. The hardware for Mac computers is designed only by Apple. Third party products are also used by Apple in manufacturing Mac. The old models of Mac used Motorola’s 68K architecture; later on Apple used AIM Alliance’s Power PC in its computers and at present Mac PCs use Intel’s x86 architecture.

Apple has launched various models of Mac since it started manufacturing Mac. Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook Air, MacBook and MacBook Pro are some of the Macintosh models which are launched by Apple. Mac Pro is a workstation desktop. It is a highly customizable desktop with dual processors. Apple Mac desktops are considered as high end desktops. These desktops are far more durable than the desktops of other companies. Mac mini which is also a kind of C.P.U is a compact type of desktop C.P.U. It looks like a big lunch box. Its main advantage is that it requires very less area than other operating systems.

Current Mac computers uses x86-64 processors. At present, all the Mac computers manufactured by Apple come with at least 1GB RAM as standard. NVidia GeForce or ATI Radeon graphics card are used in present Mac computers. A single button mouse was used in Mac computers manufactured till 2005. A 4 button mighty mouse was introduced by Apple with Mac computers in August, 2005.

It is true that Macintosh from Apple is very different from other computers which run on Windows Operating Systems. Mac computers are targeted less than Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, by the Malware. It is also true that Mac computers are also not completely free from viruses. However, most of the viruses are designed while keeping Windows Operating Systems as target in mind. Apple has always been known for applying innovation in all its products. Different Mac machines are just an example of that.
