American League Central
The AL Central is upside down so far in the 2011 season.
1) The Cleveland Indians are 13-8 and are in first place. Although they are on a 3 game winning streak. They are playing KC next so it should get interesting. 2) The Detroit Tigers are on a 4 game winning streak and are tied for 2nd place in their division. They are 12-10 and are 1.5 games away from 1st. 3) Kansas City Royals have the same record as the Tigers. They have to play the Indians next, so they could take possession of 1st place soon. 4) Minnesota Twins are 9-12 and are in 4th place. This is not where I thought they would be. There are a lot of questions with Mauer and other members of this ball club. As a Tigers fan this makes me happy! 5) Chicago White Sox are in last place in the AL Central with a 8-14 record. They have it bad because they are going from being swept by Detroit to playing the Yankees in NY. Their big acquisition in the off-season, Adam Dunn, has been a strike out machine. Not good for Sox fans. Who do you think will be coming out on top? I think it is Detroit as long as they can start getting some wins on the road a little more consistent. |
