Alcohol?

LOL now I'm not a drinker, but I can never understand whats the infatuation with alcohol, like how is it suppose to taste? I hear sweet,bitter, sour and I'm extremely confused lol. The closet thing I got to beer was rootbeer LMAO.

I am not a big drinker, I like a good rum and coke sometimes but that is about it. I drank more when I was younger because it was the "in thing" to do at parties. I think drinking calm nerves of a busy stressful work week so every once in a while for me is cool. Good post.

For me, I've got to that age where I've just started to go to parties and only just started drinking, so I'll get drunk there but I don't know half the names or anything, despite working in a pub! I'm not a drinker and only drink on special occasions.

Obviously alcohol has very negative sides to it, people consume way to much which leads to lives being lost, violence, unhappiness and sometimes criminal activity. If it were my decision, i'd make alcohol illegal actually because of all the negative affects it has, drink driving being one of them.

But because of it's popularity, I think it will never be made illegal.

You never drank Alcohol? Damn man you gotta try it, but remember each brand has it's difference of taste so it depends on you and the taste you will enjoy the most.

First you need to know how to drink right and act right after you drink.

lol nope never, though people have seriously tried to get me to. Yeah it's all the difference of flavors that trip me out, haha I've seen people do a lot of dumb stuff at parties drinking lol so I'm the sane one who insures people that nothing is going wrong so they wont call the cops or something lol. It's not like they are the wrong crowd just to active during parties. That also led me to not trying it.

I know what you mean mate, maybe your worried about what will happen if you get drunk, to you and to others so you simply don't drink, that's fair enough

I'm figuring/guessing that you are a pretty young guy just from the sound of it. I like a drink ever now and then, when I was young the main purpose was to get drunk, now I don't want to get drunk. So when I do drink it's just a couple drinks and I will prob be enjoying a cigar with them. My favorite drink of choice right now is a good bourbon with a couple ice cubes.

Well I generally don't drink hard liquor except for the occasional shot of Jager or Wild Turkey at a party, but when I'm hanging out after work or chillin with some friends I drink beer -- good German beer.

Really it all depends on a person's taste. If you're drinking for the sole purpose of getting drunk and on a cheap price, just stick to Miller Lite or w/e. You'll drink a lot, quickly, and eventually vomit your brains out.

If you want to try some good beer with good taste, look for imported stuff from Germany, Belgium, etc. Some of my favorites are (Germany) Spaten, Spaten Oktoberfest (Germany), Stella Artois (Belgium), Heineken and Heineken Light (Holland), St. Pauli Girl & Paulaner (Both German as well).

They have a great taste, are a bit stronger than the lite shit you find in the US, and go down smooth as well. If you sit there and you TRY to taste the beer, you'll notice slight traces of fruits and citrus and other stuff like that.

It's also not watered down piss like Miller Lite, Bud Light and Coors Light.

Also if you have the $$, and are old enough to walk into a Liquor Store and buy the beer yourself, look for Micros on the shelf. These are expensive beers brewed by small breweries throughout the US. Look for beers like Dogfish Head, Ballast Point, etc. That stuff will make you feel good about yourself.

After 15 years of drinking, my taste buds are refined. I like super premium rum, single malts scotch, single barrel bourbon, microbrew and imported beer, and non white zinfandel/jug/box/overly sweet wine.

Whats is it supposed to taste like? You just know. Its almost like the infatuation of sushi. Our son has been eating it since he was 7 and he is 12 now. Its one of those sensations that rubs your taste bud the right way.

I like all my alcohol pretty much strait. No rum and cokes, no bourbon and coke. I only do those with cheap stuff to try to mask the true flavor.
