something that struck me as kinda funny yesterday ..

In real life im a Braves fan .. live in Atlanta .. etc .. etc..

But in the game here Im the Marlins GM.. so I've been watching some marlins games this season since I know who all their players and prospects are ..

So I was watching the braves / marlins game last night... and I caught mysef rooting for Nolasco a few times .. He's my staff ace in the game here .. So I would look away from the game and hear the announcer say .. " three up three down for Nolasco " .. and get a momentary boost ... Hell yeah..my boy just set them down ..

then I would realize it was the Braves he just set down ..

I catch myself doing the same thing sometimes with my fantasy players .. I'll hear .. " Three run homerun for Beltran .. he took a belt high fastball and drove it right out of here " .. Immediately I think.. Hell Yeah Beltran.. Ive got him on my fantasy team.. Then I realize im watching the friggin braves game..

My pitching staff sucks. It shouldn't, but it does for some reason. For the second straight season Verlander and Webb have ERAs over 4 to start the season. I might have to blow this team up if it doesn't get better in a hurry because the Indians have sprinted out to pretty commanding lead in two weeks already.

Not sure you have anything I'd want that you'd give. What would you give me for it?

Well, I am looking for a future at third. If I can ever get enough money, and a decent replacement, I'd consider cutting A-Rod should his production drop. After that, 2 outfield spots are open, and a catcher that could stay healthy (both Posada, and Doumit have mid, to low 60's health). Lastly, you can never have enough pitching.

Obviously, for the second overall pick, I am looking for a good return, so just let me know how much your willing to give.

Tigers rebounded well in the second sim, but still sit five games back of the division lead. The firesale is underway with Edwin Jackson and leadoff hitter Chone Figgins moving on to San Francisco. Brett Wallace was brought back to Detroit along with catching prospect Derek Norris. Wallace was the centerpiece to the deal who will cut his teeth for a sim or two in AAA while guys like Kouzmanoff, Berkman, Burrell, and Dunn block his rise to the big league. That said Wallace will see time at 3B, 1B and DH this year with the Tigers, and will be a big time component to the Tiger offense for the next five seasons.

Everyone in that Rockie lineup is hot right now. If their pitchers were performing as well they might have 20 wins plus! The Rockies though will most likely fade guys like Atkins aren't going hit .400 the whole way.

I have a question. Its about the cash in the finances section of the game. Is there a way to put some of my cash towards my payroll budget? Or if not what is the purpose of cash in the game?

Your cash is just a stockpile of money. You can use it build a new stadium, but I wouldn't recommend that. (Not sure if we are having that as an option in the league.) The cash though covers if you run a deficit this season. The thing you have to watch for is that if you cash balance runs to zero you can't sign any players or make any trades that add payroll.

Yes you should be fine at this point. Though another season or two of this is going to be a problem. If you make the postseason you will make a lot though so that can help cover the deficit. You could also cut spending on your farm system and medical staff to increase your payroll budget. Also you are spending 26 million on scouting. That is just wasted money in our league because everyone can use the commish ratings, which are the actual ratings of every player. So there is no reason to spend a cent on scouting. That should make up a lot of the difference.

You can certainly use it to build a new stadium. If your new stadium is a serious upgrade over your old one, you'll see a boost in fan approval.
